The Lady Rough Riders took on the Panthers before the break Thursday, celebrating three seniors and their four-year career with the team. Rhyan Angles started the girls off strong with a homerun in the bottom of the first, putting the girls up on the board. Sadly, though, this is where the team began to face a fierce resistance from their visiting opponent. While the Lady Panthers made very few hits, it was walks on-base that lead to a majority of their scoring. A double play on 1st by Lilly Han and 3 putouts in center field by Valerie Davila put a stop to a few runs, yet Fossil Ridge managed to narrowly slip through the cracks in the defense, bringing an end to the game with a 1-23 loss for the Lady Rough Riders. Despite the defeat, however, the girls put up a great fight in both this game and throughout the season, never giving up no matter the score. Congratulations on another great season, ladies!
