Saginaw started off rough on Tuesday against their district-mate, Chisholm Trail. By the third inning, the Rangers had managed to accumulate a 5-run deficit, putting themselves ahead by a sizable margin to finish off the first third of the game. Despite this, and some struggles on the mound, the Rough Riders were nearly able to make up the difference and catch up with their opponent's early lead. Dylan Little led the charge with two runs batted in, and Grayson Chancellor went 2-for-4 at the plate to top the Rough Riders in hits for the day. Sadly, this change in gameplay was unable to fully close the gap and resulted in the boys in red narrowly falling short of Chisholm Trail in a 3-5 loss at the end of the evening.
The Rough Riders take on the Rangers again on Thursday, April 17th, at the Chisholm Trail diamond, looking to turn their luck around.
