Saturday proved to be a good one for the Rough Riders, winning the vast majority of their matchups in the EMS ISD Dual Meet against their district-mates. Three out of the four head-to-head matches resulted in a Saginaw 1st place position, with the race against Boswell being lost by only one point. Highlights of the day included Vincent Quijano winning first in all four of his races (200 Medley Relay, 100 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 200 Free Relay) and breaking his own 100 breaststroke record, Sophianne Cortes also winning first in all four of her races (200 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay), and Divya Chhetri winning the 100 Freestyle. Additionally, the Girls 200 Free Relay, Girls 400 Free Relay, Boys 200 Medley Relay, Boys 200 Free Relay, and Boys 400 Free Relay all won 1st place in their events!
The next meet won't be until the beginning of the new year on Saturday, Jan. 11th, where the Rough Riders will head to the Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center for the Arlington Heights Winter Invitational.
