Rough Rider Stadium was alight with celebration on Friday as Saginaw celebrated Homecoming and the varsity football team scored yet another win to add to their prosperous season. Coming out on top with a score of 29-18, the Rough Riders dominated the game in the first half, let the lead slip just slightly in the third quarter, than pulled ahead in the final part of the evening. Corey Baker carried the boys to their win with 205 rushing yards that kept the ball moving and one TD to add to the score. Roman Morales had a 48 rushing yards and two scores of his own added on to by Aidan Collier with a 43-yard TD reception. Sean Brown’s 13 tackles led the Rough Riders on the defensive side of the ball, followed by a further nine tackles from Cody Anderson. Rondell Thomas and Aidan Collier flipped the game with one interception each and Steven Perez help secure Rough Rider possession with a fumble recovery.
The boys travel to Hadley Stadium on Thursday, Oct. 31st, to bring the scare to South Hills.
