The first-place showdown between Saginaw and Paschal on Friday proved to be an all-time thriller. It was a rough start for the Rough Riders going into half time with a deficit of 31-13, but they came back in the second half to keep the opponents from scoring while simultaneously pulling ahead to snatch victory form the jaws of defeat. Roman Morales made the comeback possible with four touchdown passes, two of which were received by Aidan Collier with Cory Baker and Boaz Kaloso adding one each. Defensively, Isaac Bukasa had a fumble recovery in the endzone and Jaiveon Goff had a 49-yard pick six. With this win, Saginaw is 7-0 overall with a perfect 5-0 in district play, the first time being undefeated at this point in the season in school history.
The Rough Riders take on North Side this Friday, Oct. 25th, in their Homecoming game.
