It was a fast-paced day for the Rough Riders on Friday as they took to White Settlement Central Park for the 5A District Cross Country Meet. Many athletes, on both the girls and boys varsity teams, had opportunities to shine in their performances. Adan Torres and Andrei Carter placed personal bests at 13th and 20th, their times making them the 5th and 14th, respectively, fastest runners in Saginaw High School history! Isaac Irwin set a personal best with a time of 20:05.27. On the girls’ side Kamryn Weeks set a personal course record of 21:36.83 to finish 19th followed closely by Veronica Torres at 21:54.84, finishing 23rd, and Vivian Tran shaved off more than 4 minutes from her last district race with a final time of 24:41.
Congratulations and well done to both teams for their ceaseless hard work!
