The Varsity Tennis team came out swinging at the Burleson Centennial Tournament on Thursday, Mar. 21. Both the boys and girls double teams showed off strong performances throughout the day, with Girls A Doubles making it to the finals, and Boys B and Mixed B doubles securing spots in the quarterfinals. Mixed A Doubles continued the trend of success, leading their opponents with a score of 4-1, when an unfortunate rainstorm caused the rest of the tournament to be cancelled. “I’m very proud of varsity,” said Coach Phillips. “They were playing very well in this tournament.”
The Rough Riders look forward to showing the same energy on Mar. 28, as they gear up for the upcoming Waxahachie Tournament at Waxahachie High School.
