Saginaw tennis celebrated their first district victory of the season with a 11-8 win over Brewer on Tuesday, Sept. 12. The Rough Riders stormed ahead during the doubles play taking a commanding 5-2 lead and maintained their advantage through the match. While some matches were pushed into tiebreaks, Saginaw showcased their determination converting half of those tiebreaks into wins. Coach Phillips commended the teams' tenacity in all their matches. Saginaw travels to Aledo to take on the Bearcats next Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 4:30 p.m.
