Taking the field for their District Home Opener against Granbury, the Lady Rough Riders faced a difficult fight over the course of 9 inning. The girls in red were sadly unable to find their groove as their opponent widened the point gap little by little through the night. Hannah Brown was the offensive star of the evening, scoring one run for Saginaw and putting them up on the board, with Elizabeth Galvan, Lilah Smith, and Rhyan Angles each getting on base with hist by pitch. Sadly, however, the batting prowess of the team was unable to help them catch up to their opponents before the clock ran down, ending in a heartfelt loss of 1-13.
The Lady Rough Riders are on the road Tuesday, March 11, to face off against the Azle Hornets, looking to score a big win.
