The fierce windstorm that rocked the metropolitan area on Tuesday couldn't stop the showdown between the Saginaw Lady Rough Riders and the Chisholm Trail Lady Rangers. It was a tough fight for both teams as they braved intense gusts sweeping across the pitch, a factor that sadly did not fall in the favor of the girls in red. Everytime they were on the track to finding their rhythm, either a frigid blast of wind or a quick play by their opponent would knock them off balance and give the Lady Rangers an opening to finish out the game with a 0-4 for the Lady Rough Riders. Despite the loss, though, the team put up a great fight defensively that made Chisholm Trail have to fight throughout the course of the evening. Daisy Ruiz, Kimberly Perez, and Lyla Stutz stood out as leaders over the four quarters, helping the girls mount a solid defensive effort that kept them in the game.
The Lady Rough Riders are back on their home turf on Friday, March 7th, against the Fossil Ridge Panthers, with more favorable wind conditions projected.
