Coach Oropeza enters his fifteenth year of coaching and his first year here at Saginaw High School. Before arriving to Saginaw, he was at Paschal High School for two years where he served as the running backs coach.

Prior to arriving to the metroplex, he served as the head football coach at Pojoaque Valley High School and McCurdy Charter School in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Coach Oropeza earned his degree from The University of Texas at El Paso and attended Montwood High School in El Paso, Texas. 

Coach Oropeza is a father to Ailyn, Jaden and grandfather to Brielle and Xavien. On his free time he enjoys traveling, going to the movies and spending every possible moment with his family. God and Family is the most important part of Coach Oropeza’s life.
